Anti-Smoking PSA Posters

To Do:

Fold into portfolio book.

Problem

The Utah Department of Health needs a series of posters that illustrate the dangers of smoking cigarettes. Their aim is to speak to young, potential smokers, and will be displayed at places where youth spend a lot of their time, such as schools and malls.

Solution

Carefully considering the rebellious nature of teenagers, the posters were designed specifically to avoid a clinical or authoritative attitude. Rather, a very stark and minimal design was created, using imagery composed entirely of typography, which spelled out the numerous health hazards associated with smoking cigarettes—inviting viewers to take a close look.
